You may wonder what I mean when I say, “Be Intentional”. To succeed, you need to be intentional in all areas of your life. You need to have a purpose in everything you do and say. Have you ever thought about why you do certain things and don’t do others? The same goes for words. Think about why you say the things that you say and choose not to say others. This is part of being intentional.
Your actions and words say a lot about the person that you are. Proverbs 18:21 says that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue”. Speak life into your situations. Be intentional about how you speak. Be intentional about the words that you choose to say. Don’t be afraid to show up and speak up when necessary and remain silent when it is wise to. This applies to your personal life and work life.
Earlier I mentioned having a purpose in everything you do and say. Your purpose should bring you joy, but more importantly, it should bring joy to someone else’s life. You have unique gifts and talents. You may not know what they are yet, but they are there. Use these gifts and talents to make a difference in the lives of others. Really, ask yourself how knowing you has made someone else’s life better.
This week I want you to take a look at the things that you do and say. Do you intentionally speak life into you circumstances, or are you speaking death into your life? Make the decision to only speak life.
